I am committed to the Northeast Middle School (NEMS) mission of preparing students today for success tomorrow.
As part of their daily responsibilities, students are expected to follow the NEMS SOAR Operating Principles. These principles include:
- Stand with Integrity – A commitment to doing what is right in both action and intention.
- Follow staff instruction
- Do your own work
- Own Your Growth – A commitment to continuous improvement and a mindset that fosters self-reflection, accountability, and life-long learning.
- Actively participate
- Set realistic goals for yourself
- Ask questions
- Keep trying! Mistakes mean you are trying and actually GROW YOUR BRAIN!! Work through your "wrong turn" to find your right solution.
- Accountable & Responsible – A commitment to taking responsibility for our actions and the actions of others.
- Admit your mistakes. Don't be ashamed because you may help someone else understand through working out your mistake.
- Be honest with yourself and others.
- Represent Quality - A commitment to value our roles at NEMS and always put forth our best efforts in all that we do.
- Give your best effort on all assignments
- Come prepared
- Arrive on time

Each class has its own Google Classroom updated regularly with daily assignments and homework. This is a great place to catch up if you have to miss a class, need the notes from class, or need extra practice.
