My name is Deborah Hollingsworth, and this is the beginning of my 29th year of teaching. I have been married to John Hollingsworth for 28 years, and we have two adult children, JaNay and John, Jr. JaNay has blessed our family with two grandgirls that are 6 and 3 years of age.

I began teaching at Kenwood Elementary, in grades 2, 4, and 5. I transferred to Northeast Middle in the Fall of 2001 and have been teaching here to the present day. I taught the subjects of English and Reading until 2014, after which I began teaching Adolescent Development (Leadership for Life). I enjoy teaching and seeing students excel. I especially enjoy teaching students how to:
-set goals
-handle conflict in productive ways
-develop a healthy self-esteem
-communicate effectively with parents, peers, and teachers
-problem solve

I am looking forward to another fantastic school year!
