Dear Families,

Welcome! My name is Mr. Lopez, and I am so excited to welcome your child to our English Language Learner classroom this school year.

My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels safe, welcomed, respected, and confident while developing their English skills. Learning a new language is a big accomplishment, and I want your child to know that making mistakes is a normal and important part of learning. We will celebrate their progress, encourage them to take risks, and help them become stronger readers, writers, speakers, and listeners.

Throughout the year, students will participate in engaging lessons, discussions, reading activities, writing activities, vocabulary development, and collaborative learning. I will also work closely with your child's other teachers to help ensure that your child has the support they need to be successful in all of their classes.

Families are an important part of your child's success. I encourage you to reach out whenever you have questions, concerns, or information that you feel would help me better support your child. You are always welcome to communicate with me, and I look forward to working together as a team.

Thank you for trusting me with your child's education. I am excited about the year ahead and cannot wait to see your child grow, learn, and thrive!

At Northeast we know every student and grow every student.

Warmly,
Mr. Lopez
English Language Learner Instructor
