Safety Week Aug 28-Sept 1

A Note from Mr. Rowe concerning fire safety at home:

“This week is Safety Week at NEMS! As part of our focus on safety, we want to stress the importance of preparedness when it comes to responding to the possibility of a fire. With this in mind, talk to your parents about making a home escape plan in case of a fire. Draw a map of your home showing all doors and windows. Discuss the plan with everyone in your home”.

Parents, we practice fire drills all the time. Fires happen more in homes than in schools. Have a plan for how to get out of the house and where to meet. And Practice, Practice, Practice!
